Global Village Newstalk 106-108 FM - Presented by Dil Wickremasinghe

After being on air over one year, "Global Village" has evolved from being a one hour intercutulral programme into Irelands only equality and social justice focused space on Irish media. The weekly two hour live programme airs from 7-9pm.

Dil presents the activist point of view and explores current social issues by letting those affected to speak for themselves. In addition, Global Village provides legal advice with the help of Radio Solicitor, Brian O'Reilly, and creates a platform for representatives of voluntary groups to highlight their causes.  Dil and her team at Newstalk hope to raise public awareness and instigate social change.

Living in Ireland

Crosscare Migrant Project launched their Living in Ireland multi-language integration resource on 25th November 2009. Living in Ireland is an easy-to-use, multi-purpose resource created by migrants for the benefit of migrants. It provides general information on rights in five languages as well as exploring culture, language, history, society and participation in Ireland. It is not a definitive guide to living in Ireland but a starting point from which residents and citizens can engage in mutual interaction and exchange.

Dil was invited to launch the integration resource on the day along with Conor Hickey of Crosscare and Nataliya Kudryashova.
